About Mrs. Gainor
Hello from Mrs. Gainor
My name is Mrs. Gainor, and I love books!
Isaly is an opportunity to talk about books with kids in a light-hearted, non-academic setting. I have been a teacher for 29 years, and I love diving into books with my students and watching them parse all the beauty and connections they can see in a text. With that in mind, I am so excited for these parties - each one an opportunity to focus on the profound impact (as well as fun) that books can (and do) have on kids.
Isaly also brings to the surface two of my other passions. Since I am starting this endeavor with one of my sons, it also provides consistent time with him. I am a recent “empty-nester,” and the idea of having a project with one of my two sons is such a gift. Additionally, a portion of Isaly’s proceeds will go to Reach Out and Read - a national charity dedicated to providing books to children in connection with their pediatric clinic visits.
Whether they are dreaming of brave knights in shining armor, cozy cabins in a winter wonderland, or wise spiders and talking pigs, kids seek books to offer joy, solace, understanding, comfort, distraction, and fun. Walking this path with them is one of my greatest joys, and I look forward to sharing their thoughts and connections through these parties.
Everyone is seen
We approach every day with all of our feelings. Whether a kid is excited, nervous, happy, or curious, they will add to the party. Every party is unique because it is made up of who we are - right at that moment!

Books can bring out big feelings. If anything comes up during our discussions - or I see that a child is upset - I will contact you. Some of the best things about books are the feelings it awakens. But these can sometimes be a little scary.
